How to Leviathan Raid in Destiny 2

The Leviathan Raid in Destiny 2 is probably the most challenging, yet rewarding, tasks in the game. Knowing how to approach the raid is key to success.

If you want to know how to conduct a Leviathan Raid in Destiny 2, here’s what you’ll need to do.

Leviathan Raid: Castellum

Stand on the sun to trigger the first encounter. The trick is to defend the sun point and claim the corresponding spawning symbols. Communication is key, as the symbols will change and you will need to relay that information to those on the hunt.

Adventurers need to kill the standard bearer, a Cabal, with the correct symbol on it. Return the standard to the defense sun point and repeat the process.

Leviathan Raid: Royal Pools

There are five plates, one in the center, and four surrounding it. Each plate has a 1 minute charge of psionic protection that will stop the water from burning you. Additionally there are nine purple lanterns on chains. Your goal is to destroy these by standing on the plates long enough and making them vulnerable.

The trick is the center plate. Rotate your party on it to keep everyone alive. Revives are limited and you’ll have to start over if anyone is left dead for more than 25 seconds.

Leviathan Raid: Pleasure Gardens

This encounter begins after you grab two prisms from the vaults. Following that, six superdogs will appear. The best way to win this battle is to use the flowers in the garden. The players not holding the prisms can grab Royal Pollen from the vault.

Prism holders should stand in the glowing light to create a beam to attack. Pollen holders should gather around a blooming flower when it glows purple, gathering spores, and then shoot the prism beam at it. Collect 36-48 spores to kill the dogs.

Leviathan Raid: Gauntlet

Have four players on plates and two as runners. After defeating the Centurion, the runners need to get six charges into the middle. In order to do that, those on the plates need to shoot the appearing triangles to reveal more charges as the runners pass them.

Once the six charges are in the middle, all players need to loop around the tunnels. Only three of you have to make it, but nobody can die longer than 30 seconds from the end.

How to Defeat Emperor Calus

Shoot the cup from Calus’ hand and be transported to a giant hologram of his head. He’ll try to suck you in, but use the purple barrier to save yourself. You want to move the barrier towards Calus. To do this, three players should grab the orbs beyond the barrier to go back to the throne room. There will be four sigils there, and three will appear on Calus’ forehead. The one not called must be destroyed in the throne room. That will advance the barrier.

After this, he’ll shoot out skulls and charge his nuke. Destroy the skulls and shield, then take aim at his face to defeat him.
